As I sit here tonight, thinking, I cannot imagine life getting any better. The other day when I was unloading books to put on the bookshelf in OUR apartment I came across one of my journals from 1999! I have a list in there of things I was looking for in a husband at that time. It is the only list I ever made. There are 40 things on the list, some are retarded but most are perfect.
Here are a few in the order I put them:
- Must be saved
- Loves the Lord
- Wants a big family
- Wears glasses
- Has to be funny
- Loves family time
- Knows how to budget money
- Is able to sing
- Can play the piano
- Likes to read
- Is at least 6’2
- Like Musicals
- Date night once a month
- Like Romantic Movies
- Loves my Avonlea movies
- Has good dating standards
- Will be happy to just sit and cuddle with me at home
- Will treat my family as his own
- Knows how to do simple household repairs
- Must love ice cream
- Will do devotions as a couple nightly
- Likes to play games
- Loves watching movies
These are a little over half of the ones that I am willing to share. I looked at this list, tried to read it to my friend, and just began to cry. I was 15 years old when I wrote these. God knew what I wanted and needed, and gave me that and MORE! Nathan is all of these and SO MUCH MORE.
I cannot even begin to thank God enough for My Amazing Fiancé! Thank you God for giving me what I wanted and needed!
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS ON ME!
